Florida Steele is a family advocate with 30+ years of experience supporting under-resourced communities through direct service and systems advocacy. As a mother of four, she centers her work on relational, strengths-based support that honors families lived experiences. At Open Arms Perinatal Services, she connects families to vital perinatal resources through cultural humility and co-created solutions. As Community Resource Advocate at FS Advocate Alliance, Florida leads efforts to remove systemic barriers and center community voices in policy. She serves on the WSCADV Home Visiting Leadership Team and is Lead Facilitator for King County Best Starts for Kids’ Home Visiting Advisory Board. Florida blends professional expertise with personal insight to build equitable, community-rooted solutions.
