About me
I'm the Prevention/Outreach Specialist & a Survivors Advocate at Beyond Survival, the Sexual Assault Resource Center for Grays Harbor Washington. I specialize in working with at risk youth, underserved communities & trafficking victims. Much of my time is spent teaching, creating curriculum & trainings for various agencies and rural communities. I'm passionate about stopping sexual assault before it starts, ending shame & stigma.
In my role I am honored to represent rural advocacy as a member of the Sexual Assault Working Group (SAWG), as well as the position of Rural Advocate Representative for WA State on the Washington State Assault Forensic Examination Best Practices Committee with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, and a participating member of the Gender & Justice Commission DSV Committee with the Washington State Supreme Court. As you can see, representing rural survivors & rural advocates is of the utmost importance to me. Rural communities face unique challenges and it’s vital that we’re heard in the larger conversations of funding, policy and legislation.
I am thrilled to be here at the WSCADVSA Conference and am looking forward to connecting with all of you.
