About me
Roshelle Cleland is the Director of Public Policy at the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Prior to joining the coalition, she served as Director of Advocacy & Education at the Lutheran Community Services Northwest, where she led Spokane County’s Community Sexual Assault and Crime Victim Services Programs.
With more than a decade of experience in victim services, Roshelle has worked directly with survivors and families impacted by sexual assault, domestic violence, and other crimes. Roshelle is deeply committed to legislative advocacy and systemic change. She has served on numerous state and national committees, including the Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science, and was appointed by the Washington State Senate to the Washington State Sentencing Guidelines Commission. Originally from Oregon, she began her advocacy career at a community-based program serving survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. Roshelle holds degrees in Public Health and Psychology from Oregon State University.
