About me
Minu Ranna-Stewart, LICSW, is the Director of Harborview Abuse & Trauma Center and by training is a licensed clinical social worker. She graduated with a master’s degree in social work from the University of Washington and has over 25 years of professional experience as a social worker, ranging from direct services, to clinical supervisor, to leadership. Her areas of expertise are child welfare, mental health particularly for survivors of trauma, cultural humility and competence, cross-systems collaboration, and program and policy development and implementation.
Minu has provided training to mental health clinicians across the country in evidence-based approaches to mental health treatment and participated in several research studies to inform and improve mental health services. She is an instructor for the University of Washington’s Master of Arts in Applied Child & Adolescent Psychology program, where she teaches the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy course.
