About me
Elizabeth Hendren is Sexual Violence Law Center's Advocacy Counsel, joining the team after founding the Reentry Initiated through Services and Education (RISE) Project at Northwest Justice Project and working for over ten years as a family law attorney to facilitate family reunification for currently and formerly incarcerated mothers.
Elizabeth serves by appointment on the Washington State Supreme Court Gender & Justice Commission, where she chairs the Incarceration, Gender & Justice Committee. She was the recipient of the Seattle University Leadership for Justice Fellowship, and in 2017 she was a recipient of the Washington Young Lawyers Committee Public Service and Leadership Award, as well as Northwest Justice Project’s Innovation Award.
