Stephanie Sacks, LMHC is the Clinical Director with Rebuilding Hope Sexual Assault Center serving Pierce & Kitsap Counties, where she has worked for the last 32 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and is licensed with the state and certified with the National Board of Certified Counselors as a Mental Health Therapist.
She has worked directly with thousands of survivors of sexual violence (assault/abuse/harassment/sex trafficking) as well as provided training, consultation and supervision to many others in the field. Stephanie has spoken to a wide variety of audiences regarding common reactions to trauma and the impact of sexual violence on the victim, including as an Expert Witness in the collegiate, military, criminal and civil court systems. For the last 20 years Stephanie has provided training through the Office of Crime Victim’s Advocacy and the Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs on treatment for sexual assault survivors. Since 2019 Stephanie has been an instructor in the Sexual Assault Investigations: Victim-Centered Engagement & Resilience Tactics training program through the Criminal Justice Training Commission.
In addition, over the last 25 years Stephanie has provided training and consultation to professionals from various fields related to vicarious trauma and the impact working with trauma has on the professional helper.
