About me
I have a great passion for working alongside domestic violence and sexual assault immigrant survivors and have done so for several years starting out working with a grassroots nonprofit, Amigas Unidas, out of Yakima, Washington under the umbrella of YWCA. Upon ending the contract, I continued work under the YWCA and with Crossing Borders, a grant that provides culturally appropriate, multi-lingual sexual assault and domestic violence services to farmworkers, Latinx, or indigenous survivors.
I enjoy facilitating Spanish support groups, helping survivors use art therapy as a means of healing, and working with the promotoras who do outreach in their communities connecting many hard to reach survivors to local services and resources.
