About me
Betty Peralta, MIT, MS-MHC, IMH-E® Mentor-Clinical, is a mental health and education specialist with 26 years of experience: 14 as an educator, 12 as a mental health therapist, 12 as a parent coach, and 8 as a reflective consultant and trainer for family support professionals. She holds a Master's in Teaching from Seattle University and an MS in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and is endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Clinical Mentor through Washington's Center for Early Relational Health.
Betty provides trauma-informed, relationship-based training, consultation, and coaching for those working with children and families. She has been faculty for the NeuroRelational Framework (NRF) since 2019 and a FAN (Facilitating Attuned Interactions) Trainer since 2020, helping adults understand children's behavior through the lens of stress, regulation, neurodevelopment, and relational health.
Betty is co-founder of Children in Bloom, a parent and professional education practice serving families of children with neurodevelopmental differences, trauma histories, and medical or mental health complexity. She co-teaches Real Time Self-Care: How to Care for Yourself While You Care for Your Child and From Managing Behaviors to Healing Them, and is the author of What to Say When People Don't Understand Your Child's Behavior, all available at ChildrenInBloom.org.
